K's vacation 2nd Mon.

We are on the downhill stretch for K's vacation, I can tell she is getting more homesick as her texting is increasing more day by day. Today was a fun day we started out at Adventure kids, the new school age playgroup for out MOMS club. We had a really good turn out, there was 10+ moms with between 2-4 kids each. There was also another 14 yo there and her and K got along real well. Bug being his silly self spent all of his time playing with the teenagers instead of getting to know the other kids, but at least he had someone to play with.

After the play date we headed out to the pool just north of there. It is a nice pool with a kids area that has different things, that spray, pour and dump water. Then there is a shallow swimming area, a deep swimming area and an area with a diving board and a slide. Bug played for a little while then got out for the rest of the time but K and I swam for awhile, then after she passed the swim test we went out and did the slide and diving board.

We got lots of sun, too much for me as I ended up with a pretty good burn. After that we took Bug to his new swimming lessons. I am very impressed with them. Bug is behind in his class but most of the others were in lessons last week, so I'm not too worried about it. She really keeps them working. They spend 90% of their time swimming back and forth and the rest of it diving down for pennies. It was nice to see that Bug can actually swim when he wants to even if it is only 5 or 6 ft.

After Don got home k and I headed to my friend Jen's home for her open house for her new business selling tastefully simple. I had never been to one of the parties and everything was just fabulous, even K who is a notoriously picky eater found a ton of things she liked. There were so many samples it was hard to keep it straight which ones we liked the best. The desert she made were delicious too. I ended up buying a broad mix of things to try at home. Can't wait to get them home to try them.

Only a few more days with K, I will miss her when she's gone, it's been nice having her here.
