Life as I know it.. 2015

I have spent the last few weeks reading this blog from beginning to end, such great memories. It has inspired me to try this yet again, so here it goes...

1. We still have Sweetpea, but still have not been given the opportunity to adopt her.
2. Bug is 1/2 way through his 1st year at public school as a 7th grader.
3. I graduated from college and passed my board exams with flying colors.
4. We moved to a small town about an hour north of Spokane, for me to take a job as a COTA.
5. Don quit his job at STA a little over a year ago and has become a much happier person.
6. Bug joined Boy Scouts last year and is loving it, he is currently a patrol leader.
7. Sweetpea is a 1st grader in the local public school and is excelling academically.
8. Grandma home schooled Bug through the end of 6th grade, then announced she was done.
9. Don is busy as a volunteer firefighter/EMT in Deer Park and Arden
10. I am enjoying being a COTA and love the freedom of the place that I work.
11. Sweetpea has been doing gymnastics for 1.5 yrs at a local program.
12. Don has gotten very involved in our local Church.
13. Sweetpea is a SPARKS in Awana this year, while Bug is attending our church's JrHi youth group.
14. We have all enjoyed the move to a small town, but miss the activities that a larger town offers.

I'm sure there are many more bits of information I would love to share, but that is all I can come up with for tonight.

A day at the fair.

We had a busy day today! 1st we tried to get a little schoolwork done, then Bug and I headed to our church for "Breakaway". This is a time for all the moms to get together once a month. We get to spend some time in prayer, some time talking and getting to know one another a little better and of course spend sometime eating, because when can a big group of women get together and there not be food involved. It was a lot of fun and they have changed the format somewhat this year, so it should be interesting. After Breakaway we headed to the fair and met Blue. Bug had such a blast riding the rides. He is of course now more that big enough for all of the kiddie rides, he even branched out and rode on some of the bigger rides in the afternoon. He was a little nervous at 1st so I told him to ask this girl if he could sit be her. Of course she said yea and you can see him chatting her up in the 1st pic. (If he stays as outgoing as he is now his teen years should be a breeze. ha ha

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good gift frenzy.

Merry Christmas or at least merry Christmas eve. Bug is sleeping in this morning so I figured I would catch up on my blogging. Everything is basically ready around here. I do need to go pick up a few food items but other than that everything is done. Of course just as a I write that i think of 5 other things I need to do: wrap a couple more presents, stuff some stockings, get a goody tray ready for Blue's work, etc.... We will be having Christmas at our house tomorrow, the only downer is that Blue has to work today and tomorrow. You gotta love the transit system around here, (he is a bus driver, if I haven't mentioned that before). So today we will run around and finish things up, then go to our Christmas Eve Church Service at 5. Then when Blue gets home we will cook up some pizza and after dinner we will open our stockings. In the morning we will just be hanging out until he gets home around 1 then we will have a nice lunch/brunch and then the gift frenzy will begin. Actually

Aahhh, calm at last...(somewhat)

Well things have calmed down a bit around here. I officially put in my notice today and my check finally cleared on Fri (the 8th), which took a huge load off my shoulders. They did not fire me immediately so I will be working tomorrow. It might have helped that I dropped off my notice without talking to any one so they couldn't fire me on the spot. The Liberty Lake garage sale went well, I didn't find any big things but I bought tons of smaller things. I have already sold about 1/2 of it, but I have a few key items that haven't drummed up much interest yet. I will see what happens this week and then re list them on Friday if I have to. Oh I do have two bad notes to make. 1st is that I have lost my wedding ring, but I have been too chicken to tell my husband yet. I actually lost it last Wed but kept hoping it would show up, I have now pretty much lost all hope. The 2nd bad thing is that either my husband or I misplaced 50.00 last night, of course I blame my husband. We pre
